Surah Al Qamar (The Moon) - سورة القمر
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
{ اقتربت الساعة } قربت القيامة { وانشق القمر } انفلق فلقتين على أبي قبيس وقيقعان آية له صلى الله عليه وسلم وقد سئلها فقال ( اشهدوا ) رواه الشيخان .
Transliteration
Iqtarabati assaAAatu wanshaqqaalqamar
Sahih International
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].
Malay
Telah hampir saat (kedatangan hari kiamat) dan terbelahlah bulan.
{ وإن يروْا } أي كفار قريش { آية } معجزة له صلى الله عليه وسلم { يعرضوا ويقولوا } هذا { سحر مستمر } قوي من المرة: القوة أو دائم .
Transliteration
Wa-in yaraw ayatan yuAAridoowayaqooloo sihrun mustamirr
Sahih International
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."
Malay
Dan kalau mereka (kaum musyrik Mekah) melihat sesuatu mukjizat, mereka berpaling ingkar sambil berkata: (Ini ialah) sihir yang terus menerus berlaku.
{ وكذبوا } النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { واتبعوا أهواءهم } في الباطل { وكل أمر } من الخير والشر { مستقر } بأهله في الجنة أو النار .
Transliteration
Wakaththaboo wattabaAAoo ahwaahumwakullu amrin mustaqirr
Sahih International
And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.
Malay
Dan (telah menjadi adat) mereka mendustakan (Nabi Muhammad dan mukjizat-mukjizat yang dibawanya) serta menurut hawa nafsu mereka, sedang tiap-tiap perkara tetap (menurut keadaan yang ditentukan oleh Allah).
{ ولقد جاءهم من الأنباء } أخبار إهلاك الأمم المكذبة رسلهم { ما فيه مزدجر } لهم اسم مكان والدال بدل من تاء الافتعال وازدجرته وزجرته: نهيته بغلظة وما موصولة أو موصوفة .
Transliteration
Walaqad jaahum mina al-anba-i mafeehi muzdajar
Sahih International
And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -
Malay
Dan sesungguhnya! Telah sampai kepada mereka (dengan perantaraan Al-Quran), sebahagian dari kisah-kisah dan berita (umat-umat yang telah lalu), yang mengandungi perkara-perkara yang cukup untuk mencegah mereka (dari perbuatan kufur itu).
{ حكمة } خبر مبتدأ محذوف أو بدل من ما أو من مزدجر { بالغة } تامة { فما تغن } تنفع فيهم { النذر } جمع نذير بمعنى منذر، أي الأمور المنذورة لهم وما للنفي أو للاستفهام الإنكاري وهي على الثاني مفعول مقدم .
Transliteration
Hikmatun balighatun famatughnee annuthur
Sahih International
Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].
Malay
(Yang demikian ialah) pengajaran yang cukup sempurna; dalam pada itu, segala peringatan dan amaran tidak akan mendatangkan faedah (kepada mereka yang ingkar).
{ فتول عنهم } هو فائدة ما قبله وتم به الكلام { يوم يدع الداع } هو إسرافيل وناصب يوم يخرجون بعد { إلى شيءٍ نكُر } بضم الكاف وسكونها، أي منكر تنكره النفوس وهو الحساب .
Transliteration
Fatawalla AAanhum yawma yadAAu addaAAiila shay-in nukur
Sahih International
So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,
Malay
Oleh itu, berpalinglah dari mereka (wahai Muhammad dan janganlah dihiraukan). (Ingatlah) masa (malaikat) penyeru menyeru (mereka pada hari kiamat) kepada perkara yang tidak diingini (oleh orang yang bersalah);
{ خاشعا } أي ذليلا، وفي قراءة خُشَّعا بضم الخاء وفتح الشين مشددة { أبصارهم } حال من الفاعل { يخرجون } أي الناس { من الأجداث } القبور { كأنهم جراد منتشر } لا يدرون أين يذهبون من الخوف والحيرة، والجملة حال من فاعل يخرجون وكذا قوله .
Transliteration
KhushshaAAan absaruhum yakhrujoonamina al-ajdathi kaannahum jaradun muntashir
Sahih International
Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,
Malay
(Pada saat itu) masing-masing dengan keadaan menundukkan pandangannya kerana ketakutan keluar dari kubur seperti belalang yang terbang bertebaran.
{ مهطعين } مسرعين مادين أعناقهم { إلى الداعِ يقول الكافرون } منهم { هذا يوم عَسِرٌ } صعب على الكافرين كما في المدثر (يوم عسير على الكافرين) .
Transliteration
MuhtiAAeena ila addaAAiyaqoolu alkafiroona hatha yawmun AAasir
Sahih International
Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."
Malay
Masing-masing dengan cepatnya menuju kepada penyeru itu. (Pada saat yang demikian), orang-orang yang kafir berkata: Hari ini ialah hari yang amat sukar!
{ كذَّبت قبلهم } قبل قريش { قوم نوح } تأنيث الفعل لمعنى قوم { فكذبوا عبدنا } نوحا { وقالوا مجنون وازدجر } انتهروه بالسب وغيره .
Transliteration
Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinfakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun wazdujir
Sahih International
The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.
Malay
Sebelum mereka, kaum Nabi Nuh juga telah mendustakan (Rasulnya); iaitu mereka mendustakan hamba Kami (Nabi Nuh) serta mereka menuduhnya dengan berkata: Dia seorang gila dan dia telah diancam (dan dihalang daripada menjalankan dakwah agama).
{ فدعا ربه أني } بالفتح، أي بأني { مغلوب فانتصر } .
Transliteration
FadaAAa rabbahu annee maghloobun fantasir
Sahih International
So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help."
Malay
Lalu dia berdoa merayu kepada Tuhannya dengan berkata: Sesungguhnya aku ini dikalahkan (oleh kaumku yang ingkar), oleh itu menangkanlah daku (terhadap mereka)!
{ ففتحنا } بالتخفيف والتشديد { أبواب السماء بماءٍ منهمر } منصب انصبابا شديدا .
Transliteration
Fafatahna abwaba assama-ibima-in munhamir
Sahih International
Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down
Malay
Maka Kami bukakan pintu-pintu langit, dengan menurunkan hujan yang mencurah-curah.
{ وفجرنا الأرض عيونا } تنبع { فالتقى الماء } ماء السماء والأرض { على أمر } حال { قد قُدِر } قضي به في الأزل وهو هلاكهم غرقا .
Transliteration
Wafajjarna al-arda AAuyoonanfaltaqa almao AAala amrin qad qudir
Sahih International
And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.
Malay
Dan Kami jadikan bumi memancarkan mata air-mata air (di sana sini), lalu bertemulah air (langit dan bumi) itu untuk (melakukan) satu perkara yang telah ditetapkan.
{ وحملناه } أي نوحا { على } سفينة { ذات ألواح ودُسر } وهو ما تشد به الألواح من المسامير وغيرها وأحدها دسار ككتاب .
Transliteration
Wahamalnahu AAala thatialwahin wadusur
Sahih International
And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,
Malay
Dan Kami bawa naik Nabi Nuh (berserta pengikut-pengikutnya) di atas (bahtera yang dibina) dari keping-keping papan dan paku;
{ تجري بأعيننا } بمرأى منا، أي محفوظة { جزاءً } منصوب بفعل مقدر، أي أغرقوا انتصارا { لمن كان كفر } وهو نوح عليه السلام، وقرئ كفر بالبناء للفاعل، أي أغرقوا عقابا .
Transliteration
Tajree bi-aAAyunina jazaanliman kana kufir
Sahih International
Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied.
Malay
Yang belayar laju dengan pemeliharaan dan pengawasan Kami; (Kami melakukan yang demikian dan menimpakan taufan itu) sebagai balasan bagi orang-orang yang kufur ingkar!
{ ولقد تركناها } أبقينا هذه الفعلة { آية } لمن يعتبر بها، أي شاع خبرها واستمر { فهل من مدَّكر } معتبر ومتعظ بها وأصله مذتكر أبدلت التاء دالا مهملة وكذا المعجمة وأدغمت فيها .
Transliteration
Walaqad taraknaha ayatanfahal min muddakir
Sahih International
And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah jadikan bahtera itu sebagai satu tanda yang menjadi pengajaran, maka adakah orang yang mahu beringat dan insaf?
{ فكيف كان عذابي ونُذُر } أي إنذاري استفهام تقرير، وكيف خبر كان وهي للسؤال عن الحال والمعنى حمل المخاطبين على الإقرار بوقوع عذابه تعالى بالمكذبين لنوح موقعه .
Transliteration
Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthur
Sahih International
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
Malay
Oleh itu, perhatikanlah bagaimana buruknya azabKu dan kesan amaran-amaranKu.
{ ولقد يسرنا القرآن للذكر } سهلناه للحفظ وهيأناه للتذكر { فهل من مدكر } متعظ به وحافظ له والاستفهام بمعنى الأمر، أي احفظوا واتعظوا به وليس يحفظ من كتب الله عن ظهر القلب غيره .
Transliteration
Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana liththikrifahal min muddakir
Sahih International
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah mudahkan Al-Quran untuk menjadi peringatan dan pengajaran, maka adakah sesiapa yang mahu mengambil peringatan dan pelajaran (daripadanya)?
{ كذبت عاد } نبيهم هودا فعذبوا { فكيف كان عذابي ونذر } إنذاري لهم بالعذاب قبل نزوله أي وقع موقعه وقد بينه بقوله .
Transliteration
Kaththabat AAadun fakayfa kanaAAathabee wanuthur
Sahih International
'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
Malay
(Demikian juga) kaum Aad telah mendustakan Rasulnya (lalu mereka dibinasakan); maka perhatikanlah, bagaimana buruknya azabku dan kesan amaran-amaranKu!
{ إنا أرسلنا عليهم ريحا صرْصرا } أي شديدة الصوت { في يوم نحس } شؤم { مستمر} دائم الشؤم أو قويه وكان يوم الأربعاء آخر الشهر .
Transliteration
Inna arsalna AAalayhim reehansarsaran fee yawmi nahsin mustamirr
Sahih International
Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,
Malay
Sesungguhnya Kami telah menghantarkan kepada mereka angin ribut yang kencang, pada hari nahas yang berlanjutan; -
{ تنزع الناس } تقلعهم من حفر الأرض المندسين فيها وتصرعهم على رءوسهم فتدق رقابهم فتبين الرأس عن الجسد { كأنهم } وحالهم ما ذكر { أعجاز } أصول { نخل منقعر } منقطع ساقط على الأرض وشبهوا بالنخل لطولهم وذكر هنا وأنث في الحاقة ( نخل خاوية ) مراعاة للفواصل في الموضعين .
Transliteration
TanziAAu annasa kaannahumaAAjazu nakhlin munqaAAir
Sahih International
Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.
Malay
Yang menumbangkan manusia gugur bergelimpangan, seolah-olah mereka batang-batang pohon kurma yang terbongkar.
{ فكيف كان عذابي ونذر } .
Transliteration
Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthur
Sahih International
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
Malay
Maka perhatikanlah, bagaimana buruknya azabKu dan kesan amaran-amaranKu!
{ ولقد يسرنا القرآن للذكر فهل من مدكر } .
Transliteration
Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana liththikrifahal min muddakir
Sahih International
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah mudahkan Al-Quran untuk peringatan dan pengajaran, maka adakah sesiapa yang mahu mengambil peringatan dan pelajaran (daripadanya)?
{ كذبت ثمود بالنذر } جمع نذير بمعنى منذر، أي بالأمور التي أنذرهم بها نبيهم صالح إن لم يؤمنوا به ويتبعوه .
Transliteration
Kaththabat thamoodu binnuthur
Sahih International
Thamud denied the warning
Malay
(Demikian juga) kaum Thamud telah mendustakan peringatan dan amaran (yang disampaikan oleh Rasul mereka, Nabi Soleh).
{ فقالوا أبشرا } منصوب على الاشتغال { منا واحدا } صفتان لـ بشرا { نتبعه } مفسر للفعل الناصب له والاستفهام بمعنى النفي المعنى كيف نتبعه ونحن جماعة كثيرة وهو واحد منا وليس بملك، أي لا نتبعه { إنا إذًا } إن اتبعناه { لفي ضلال } ذهاب عن الصواب { وسعر } جنون .
Transliteration
Faqaloo abasharan minna wahidannattabiAAuhu inna ithan lafee dalalinwasuAAur
Sahih International
And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.
Malay
Lalu mereka berkata: Patutkah kita menurut manusia dari jenis kita, lagi yang berseorangan? Jika demikian, sesungguhnya kita berada dalam keadaan sesat dan gila!
{ أألقي } بتحقيق الهمزتين وتسهيل الثانية وإدخال ألف بينهما على الوجهين وتركه { الذكر } الوحي { عليه من بيننا } أي لم يوح إليه { بل هو كذاب } في قوله إنه أوحي إليه ما ذكر { أشر } متكبر بطر، قال تعالى .
Transliteration
Aolqiya aththikru AAalayhimin baynina bal huwa kaththabun ashir
Sahih International
Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."
Malay
Tidaklah patut wahyu peringatan itu diturunkan kepadanya (padahal orang-orang yang lebih layak ada) di antara kita. Bahkan dialah seorang pendusta, lagi sombong angkuh.
{ سيعلمون غدا } في الآخرة { من الكذاب الأشر } وهو أو هم بأن يعذبوا على تكذيبهم نبيهم صالحا .
Transliteration
SayaAAlamoona ghadan mani alkaththabual-ashir
Sahih International
They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.
Malay
Mereka akan mengetahui kelak siapakah orangnya yang pendusta, lagi sombong angkuh itu.
{ إنا مرسلو الناقة } مخرجوها من الهضبة الصخرة كما سألوا { فتنة } محنة { لهم } لنخبرهم { فارتقبهم } يا صالح أي انتظر ما هم صانعون وما يصنع بهم { واصطبر } الطاء بدل من تاء الافتعال أي اصبر على أذاهم .
Transliteration
Inna mursiloo annaqatifitnatan lahum fartaqibhum wastabir
Sahih International
Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient.
Malay
Sesungguhnya Kami menghantarkan unta betina (yang menjadi mukjizat) sebagai satu ujian bagi mereka. Lalu (Kami perintahkan Rasul Kami): Tunggulah (apakah yang mereka akan lakukan) serta bersabarlah (terhadap tentangan mereka).
{ ونبئهم أن الماء قسمة } مقسوم { بينهم } وبين الناقة يوم لهم ويوم لها { كلُّ شرب } نصيب من الماء { محتضر } يحضره القوم يومهم والناقة يومها فتمادوا على ذلك ثم ملوه فهموا بقتل الناقة .
Transliteration
Wanabbi/hum anna almaa qismatunbaynahum kullu shirbin muhtadar
Sahih International
And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn].
Malay
Dan khabarkanlah kepada mereka, bahawa sesungguhnya air (telaga mereka) terbahagi di antara mereka dengan unta itu, tiap-tiap bahagian air itu dihadiri oleh yang berhak mengambilnya (pada hari gilirannya).
{ فنادوا صاحبهم } قدرا ليقتلها { فتعاطى } تناول السيف { فعقر } به الناقة، أي قتلها موافقة لهم .
Transliteration
Fanadaw sahibahum fataAAatafaAAaqar
Sahih International
But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her].
Malay
(Mereka selepas itu merasa bosan dengan keadaan unta itu dan berkira hendak membunuhnya), lalu mereka memanggil kawan mereka (yang sanggup membunuhnya), dia pun bertindak sampai dapat membunuhnya.
{ فكيف كان عذابي ونذر } إنذاري لهم بالعذاب قبل نزوله، أي وقع موقعه وبيَّنه بقوله .
Transliteration
Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthur
Sahih International
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
Malay
Maka perhatikanlah, bagaimana buruknya azabKu dan kesan amaran-amaranKu!
{ إنا أرسلنا عليهم صيحة واحدة فكانوا كهشيم المحتظر } هو الذي يجعل لغنمه حظيرة من يابس الشجر والشوك يحفظهن فيها من الذئاب والسباع وما سقط من ذلك فداسته هو الهشيم .
Transliteration
Inna arsalna AAalayhim sayhatanwahidatan fakanoo kahasheemi almuhtathir
Sahih International
Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.
Malay
Sesungguhnya Kami hantarkan kepada mereka satu pekikan (yang dahsyat), lalu menjadilah mereka (hancur) seperti ranting-ranting dan daun-daun yang pecah hancur, yang dikumpulkan oleh pemilik kandang binatang ternak.
{ ولقد يسرنا القرآن للذكر فهل من مدكر } .
Transliteration
Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana liththikrifahal min muddakir
Sahih International
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah mudahkan Al-Quran untuk peringatan dan pengajaran, maka adakah sesiapa yang mahu mengambil peringatan dan pelajaran (daripadanya)?
{ كذبت قوم لوط بالنذر } بالأمور المنذرة لهم على لسانه .
Transliteration
Kaththabat qawmu lootin binnuthur
Sahih International
The people of Lot denied the warning.
Malay
(Demikian juga) kaum Nabi Lut telah mendustakan peringatan dan amaran (yang disampaikan oleh Rasulnya).
{ إنا أرسلنا عليهم حاصبا } ريحا ترميهم بالحصباء وهي صغار الحجارة الواحد دون ملء الكف فهلكوا { إلا آل لوط } وهم ابنتاه معه { نجيناهم بسحر } من الأسحار وقت الصبح من يوم غير معين ولو أريد من يوم معين لمنع من الصرف لأنه معرفة معدول عن السحر لأن حقه أن يستعمل في المعرفة بأل وهل أرسل الحاصب على آل لوط أولا ؟ قولان وعبر عن الاستثناء على الأول بأنه متصل وعلى الثاني بأنه منقطع وإن كان من الجنس تسمحا .
Transliteration
Inna arsalna AAalayhim hasibanilla ala lootin najjaynahum bisahar
Sahih International
Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn
Malay
Sesungguhnya Kami telah menghantarkan kepada mereka angin ribut yang menghujani mereka dengan batu, kecuali keluarga Nabi Lut, Kami selamatkan mereka (dengan menyuruh mereka keluar dari situ) pada waktu jauh malam,
{ نعمة } مصدر، أي إنعاما { من عندنا كذلك } أي مثل ذلك الجزاء { نجزي من شكر } أنعمنا وهو مؤمن أو من آمن بالله ورسوله وأطاعهما .
Transliteration
NiAAmatan min AAindina kathalikanajzee man shakar
Sahih International
As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.
Malay
Sebagai limpah kurnia dari Kami. Demikianlah kami membalas orang-orang yang bersyukur.
{ ولقد أنذرهم } خوفهم لوط { بطشتنا } أخذتنا إياهم بالعذاب { فتماروا } تجادلوا وكذبوا { بالنذر } بإنذاره .
Transliteration
Walaqad antharahum batshatanafatamaraw binnuthur
Sahih International
And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning.
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Nabi Lut telah memberi amaran kepada mereka mengenai azab seksa Kami; dalam pada itu, mereka tetap mendustakan amaran-amaran itu.
{ ولقد راودوه عن ضيفه } أن يخلي بينهم وبين القوم الذين أتوه في صورة الأضياف ليخبثوا بهم وكانوا ملائكة { فطمسنا أعينهم } أعميناها وجعلناها بلا شق كباقي الوجه بأن صفقها جبريل بجناحه { فذوقوا } فقلنا لهم ذوقوا { عذابي ونذر } إنذاري وتخويفي، أي ثمرته وفائدته .
Transliteration
Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihifatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabeewanuthur
Sahih International
And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning."
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Mereka telah memujuk Nabi Lut mengenai tetamunya, lalu Kami hapuskan biji mata mereka, serta (dikatakan kepada mereka): Rasalah azabKu dan kesan amaran-amaranKu!
{ ولقد صبحهم بكرة } وقت الصبح من يوم غير معين { عذاب مستقر } دائم متصل بعذاب الآخرة .
Transliteration
Walaqad sabbahahum bukratanAAathabun mustaqirr
Sahih International
And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment.
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Mereka telah ditimpa azab yang kekal pada pagi-pagi hari (esoknya).
{ فذوقوا عذابي ونذر } .
Transliteration
Fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthur
Sahih International
So taste My punishment and warning.
Malay
Lalu (dikatakan kepada mereka): Rasalah azabKu dan kesan amaran-amaranKu!
{ ولقد يسرنا القرآن للذكر فهل مدكر }.
Transliteration
Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana liththikrifahal min muddakir
Sahih International
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah mudahkan Al-Quran untuk peringatan dan pengajaran, maka adakah sesiapa yang mahu mengambil peringatan dan pelajaran (daripadanya)?
{ ولقد جاء آل فرعون } قومه معه { النذر } الإنذار على لسان موسى وهارون فلم يؤمنوا بل
Transliteration
Walaqad jaa ala firAAawna annuthur
Sahih International
And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning.
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Firaun dan kaumnya telah didatangi (Rasul-rasul) pemberi amaran.
{ كذبوا بآياتنا كلها } التسع التي أوتيها موسى { فأخذناهم } بالعذاب { أخذ عزيز } قوي { مقتدر } قادر لا يعجزه شيء .
Transliteration
Kaththaboo bi-ayatinakulliha faakhathnahum akhthaAAazeezin muqtadir
Sahih International
They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.
Malay
Mereka telah mendustakan mukjizat-mukjizat Kami semuanya, lalu Kami timpakan azab seksa kepada mereka sebagai seksaan dari Yang Maha Perkasa, lagi Maha Kuasa.
{ أكفاركم } يا قريش { خير من أولئكم } المذكورين من قوم نوح إلى فرعون فلم يعذروا { أم لكم } يا كفار قريش { براءة } من العذاب { في الزبر } الكتب والاستفهام في الموضعين بمعنى النفي أي ليس الأمر كذلك.
Transliteration
Akuffarukum khayrun min ola-ikumam lakum baraatun fee azzubur
Sahih International
Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture?

Adakah orang-orang kafir kamu (wahai kaum musyrik Mekah), lebih baik (kekuatan, kekayaan dan kehandalannya) daripada kaum-kaum kafir yang tersebut itu? Atau adakah kamu mempunyai sebarang bukti dalam Kitab-kitab Suci tentang kebebasan kamu (dari azab)?
{ أم يقولون } أي كفار قريش { نحن جميع } جمع { منتصر } على محمد، ولما قال أبو جهل يوم بدر إنا جمع منتصر نزل .
Transliteration
Am yaqooloona nahnu jameeAAun muntasir
Sahih International
Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"?
Malay
(Mereka tidak mempunyai sebarang bukti) bahkan mereka akan berkata (dengan angkuhnya): Kami satu kaum yang bersatu, yang sudah tentu dapat membela diri!
{ سيهزم الجمع ويولون الدبر } فهزموا ببدر ونصر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عليهم .
Transliteration
Sayuhzamu aljamAAu wayuwalloona addubur
Sahih International
[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].
Malay
Kumpulan mereka yang bersatu itu tetap akan dikalahkan dan mereka pula akan berpaling lari.
{ بل الساعة موعدهم } بالعذاب { والساعة } أي عذابها { أدهى } أعظم بلية { وأمر } أشد مرارة عذاب الدنيا .
Transliteration
Bali assaAAatu mawAAiduhum wassaAAatuadha waamar
Sahih International
But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.
Malay
(Bukan kekalahan itu sahaja) bahkan hari kiamat ialah hari yang dijanjikan kepada mereka (untuk menerima balasan yang sepenuh-penuhnya) dan (azab seksa) hari kiamat itu amat dahsyat dan amat pahit.
{ إن المجرمين في ضلال } هلاك بالقتل في الدنيا { وسعر } نار مستعرة بالتشديد أي مهيجة في الآخرة .
Transliteration
Inna almujrimeena fee dalalinwasuAAur
Sahih International
Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.
Malay
Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang berdosa berada dalam keadaan sesat (di dunia), dan (di akhirat pula mereka berada dalam) api Neraka.
{ يوم يسحبون في النار على وجوههم } في الآخرة ويقال لهم { ذوقوا مس سقر } إصابة جهنم لكم .
Transliteration
Yawma yushaboona fee annariAAala wujoohihim thooqoo massa saqar
Sahih International
The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar."
Malay
Semasa mereka diseret di dalam Neraka (dengan tertiarap) atas muka mereka, (serta dikatakan kepada mereka): Rasalah kamu bakaran api Neraka.
{ إنا كل شيء } منصوب بفعل يفسره { خلقناه بقدر } بتقدير حال من كل أي مقدرا وقرئ كل بالرفع مبتدأ خبره خلقناه .
Transliteration
Inna kulla shay-in khalaqnahubiqadar
Sahih International
Indeed, all things We created with predestination.
Malay
Sesungguhnya Kami menciptakan tiap-tiap sesuatu menurut takdir (yang telah ditentukan).
{ وما أمرنا } لشيء نريد وجوده { إلا } مرة { واحدة كلمح بالبصر } في السرعة وهي قول: كن فيوجد (إنما أمره إذا أراد شيئا أن يقول له كن فيكون) .
Transliteration
Wama amruna illa wahidatunkalamhin bilbasar
Sahih International
And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.
Malay
Dan hal Kami (dalam melaksanakan apa yang Kami kehendaki), hanyalah satu cara sahaja, (cepat jadinya) seperti sekelip mata.
{ ولقد أهلكنا أشياعكم } أشباهكم في الكفر من الأمم الماضية { فهل من مدكر } استفهام بمعنى الأمر، أي اذكروا واتعظوا .
Transliteration
Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakumfahal min muddakir
Sahih International
And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah binasakan orang-orang yang sama keadaannya seperti kamu; maka adakah sesiapa yang mahu mengambil peringatan dan pelajaran?
{ وكل شيء فعلوه } أي العباد مكتوب { في الزبر } كتب الحفظة .
Transliteration
Wakullu shay-in faAAaloohu fee azzubur
Sahih International
And everything they did is in written records.
Malay
Dan tiap-tiap perkara yang mereka lakukan, adalah tertulis di dalam Kitab suratan amal;
{ وكل صغير وكبير } من الذنب أو العمل { مستطر } مكتوب في اللوح المحفوظ .
Transliteration
Wakullu sagheerin wakabeerin mustatar
Sahih International
And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.
Malay
Dan tiap-tiap perkara yang kecil dan yang besar tetap tercatit.
{ إن المتقين في جنات } بساتين { ونَهر } أريد به الجنس، وقرئ بضم النون والهاء جمعا كأسد وأسد، والمعنى أنهم يشربون من أنهار الماء واللبن والعسل والخمر .
Transliteration
Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatinwanahar
Sahih International
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,
Malay
Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang bertakwa, di tempatkan dalam taman-taman Syurga (yang indah) dan (dekat) beberapa sungai,
{ في مقعد صدق } مجلس حق لا لغو فيه ولا تأثيم أريد به الجنس، وقرئ مقاعد، المعنى أنهم في مجالس من الجنات سالمة من اللغو والتأثيم بخلاف مجالس الدنيا فقلَّ أن تسلم من ذلك وأعرب هذا خبرا ثانيا وبدلا وهو صادق ببدل البعض وغيره { عند مليك } مثال مبالغة، أي عزيز الملك واسعه { مقتدر } قادر لا يعجزه شيء وهو الله تعالى وفيه إشارة إلى الرتبة والقربة من فضله تعالى .
Transliteration
Fee maqAAadi sidqin AAinda maleekinmuqtadir

54. Al-Qamar Introduction
Name
The Surah takes its name from the very first verse Wan shaqq al-Qamar, thereby implying that it is a Surah in which the word al-Qamar has occurred.
Period of Revelation
The incident of the shaqq-al-Qamar (splitting of the moon) that has been mentioned in it, determines its period of revelation precisely. The traditionists and commentators are agreed that this incident took place at Mina in Makkah about five years before the Holy Prophet’s hijrah to Madinah.
Theme and Subject Matter
In this Surah the disbelievers of Makkah have been warned for their stubbornness which they had adopted against the invitation of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The amazing and wonderful phenomenon of the splitting of the Moon was a manifest sign of the truth that the Resurrection, of which the Holy Prophet was giving them the news, could take place and that it had approached near at hand.
The great sphere of the Moon had split into two distinct parts in front of their very eyes. The two parts had separated and receded so much apart from each other that to the on-lookers one part had appeared on one side of the mountain and the other on the other side of it.
Then, in an instant the two had rejoined. This was a manifest proof of the truth that the system of the Universe was neither eternal nor immortal, it could be disrupted. Huge stars and Planets could split asunder, disintegrate, collide with each other, and everything that had been depicted in the Quran In connection with the description of the details of Resurrection, could happen. Not only this: it was also a portent that the disintegration of the system of the Universe had begun and the time was near when Resurrection would take place.
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) invited the people’s attention to this event only with this object in view and asked them to mark it and be a witness to it. But the disbelievers described it as a magical illusion add persisted in their denial. For this stubbornness they have been reproached in this Surah.
At the outset it has been said: “These people neither believe in the admonition, nor learn a lesson from history, nor affirm faith after witnessing manifest signs with their eyes. Now they would believe only when Resurrection has taken place and they would be rushing out of their graves towards the Summoner on that Day.”
Then, the stories of the people of Noah and of ‘Ad and Thamud and of the peoples of Lot and the Pharaoh have been related briefly and they have been reminded of the terrible punishments that these nations suffered when they belied and disregarded the warnings given by the Prophets of God.
After the narration of each story the refrain that has been provided is: “This Qur’an is an easy means of admonition, which if a nation takes to heart and thereby takes the Right Way, the torment that descended on the former nations could be avoided. But it would indeed be a folly if instead of heeding the admonition through this easy means, one persisted in heedlessness and disbelieved until one was overtaken by the torment itself.”
Likewise, after citing admonitory precedents from the history of the former nations, the disbelievers of Makkah have been addressed and warned to this effect: “If you too adopt the same attitude and conduct for which the other nations have already been punished, why will you not be punished for it?Are you in any way a superior people that you should be treated differently from others?
Or, have you received a deed of amnesty that you will not be punished for the crime for which others have been punished?And if you feel elated at your great numbers, you will soon see that these very numbers of yours are put to rout (on the battlefield) and on the Day of Resurrection you will be dealt with even more severely.”
In the end, the disbelievers have been told that Allah does not need to make lengthy preparations to bring about Resurrection. No sooner does He give a simple command for it than it will take place immediately. Like everything else the Universe and mankind also have a destiny.
According to this destiny everything happens at its own appointed time. It cannot be so that whenever somebody gives a challenge, Resurrection is brought about in order to convince him. If you adopt rebellion because you do not see it coming, you will only be adding to your own distress and misfortune. For your record which is being prepared by Divine agents, has not left any misdeed of yours, great or small, unrecorded.
GOD ALMIGHTY SAYS IN THE HOLY QURAN: "NO REWARD DO I ASK OF YOU FOR IT: MY REWARD IS ONLY FROM THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE". (Surah 26 'Asy'araa: verse 109)
