Surah Qaf (The Letter "Qaf") - سورة ق
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
{ ق } الله أعلم بمراده به { والقرآن المجيد } الكريم ما آمن كفار مكة بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Transliteration
Qaf walqur-ani almajeed
Sahih International
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...
Malay
Qaaf. Demi Al-Quran yang melimpah-limpah kemuliaan dan kebaikannya (bahawa sesungguhnya Muhammad adalah Rasul yang diutus memberi peringatan dan amaran).
{ بل عجبوا أن جاءهم منذر منهم } رسول من أنفسهم يخوّفهم بالنار بعد البعث { فقال الكافرون هذا } الإنذار { شيء عجيب } .
Transliteration
Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirunminhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shay-onAAajeeb
Sahih International
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.
Malay
(Kaum musyrik Makkah bukan sahaja mengingkari kerasulannya) bahkan mereka merasa hairan kerana datang kepada mereka, dari kalangan mereka sendiri, seorang Rasul pemberi peringatan dan amaran (mengenai perkara hidup semula sesudah mati); lalu orang-orang yang kafir itu berkata: "Ini adalah satu perkara yang menakjubkan!
{ أإذا } بتحقيق الهمزتين وتسهيل الثانية وإدخال ألف بينهما على الوجهين { متنا وكنا ترابا } نرجع { ذلك رجع بعيد } في غاية البعد .
Transliteration
A-itha mitna wakunna turabanthalika rajAAun baAAeed
Sahih International
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."
Malay
"Adakah (kita akan kembali hidup) sesudah kita mati dan menjadi tanah? Itu adalah cara kembali yang jauh (dari kemungkinan, kerana jasad yang telah hancur tidak dapat diketahui lagi)".
{ قد علمنا ما تنقص الأرض } تأكل { منهم وعندنا كتاب حفيظ } هو اللوح المحفوظ فيه جميع الأشياء المقدرة .
Transliteration
Qad AAalimna ma tanqusual-ardu minhum waAAindana kitabun hafeeth
Sahih International
We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.
Malay
(Apa yang mereka katakan itu tidaklah benar, kerana) Kami sedia mengetahui apa yang dimakan oleh bumi sedikit demi sedikit dari (tubuh orang mati) mereka, serta ada di sisi Kami sebuah Kitab yang menyimpan (catitan segala perkara yang berlaku).
{ بل كذبوا بالحق } بالقرآن { لما جاءهم فهم } في شأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والقرآن { في أمر مريج } مضطرب قالوا مرة: ساحر وسحر، ومرة: شاعر وشعر، ومرة: كاهن وكهانة .
Transliteration
Bal kaththaboo bilhaqqilamma jaahum fahum fee amrin mareej
Sahih International
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
Malay
(Mereka tidak mahu berfikir betul) bahkan mereka (terburu-buru) mendustakan kebenaran apabila sahaja sampainya kepada mereka; oleh sebab itu, mereka berada dalam keadaan yang serba kacau.
{ أفلم ينظروا } بعيونهم معتبرين بعقولهم حين أنكروا البعث { إلى السماء } كائنة { فوقهم كيف بنيناها } بلا عمد { وزيناها } بالكواكب { وما لها من فروج } شقوق تعيبها .
Transliteration
Afalam yanthuroo ila assama-ifawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannahawama laha min furooj
Sahih International
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?
Malay
(Kalaulah mereka menyangka Kami tidak berkuasa mengembalikan mereka hidup semula) maka tidakkah mereka memandang ke langit yang ada di sebelah atas mereka (dengan tidak bertiang) bagaimana Kami membinanya (dengan rapi) serta Kami menghiasinya (dengan bintang-bintang), dan dengan keadaan tidak ada padanya retak-renggang? -
{ والأرض } معطوف على موضع إلى السماء، كيف { مددناها } دحوناها على وجه الماء { وألقينا فيها رواسي } جبالا تثبتها { وأنبتنا فيها من كل زوج } صنف { بهيج } يبهج به لحسنه .
Transliteration
Wal-arda madadnahawaalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatnafeeha min kulli zawjin baheej
Sahih International
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,
Malay
Dan juga (keadaan) bumi ini, (bagaimana) Kami bentangkan dia sebagai hamparan, dan Kami letakkan padanya gunung-ganang yang terdiri kukuh, serta Kami tumbuhkan padanya pelbagai jenis tanaman yang indah subur?
{ تبصرة } مفعول له، أي فعلنا ذلك تبصيرا منا { وذكرى } تذكيرا { لكل عبد منيب } رجّاع إلى طاعتنا .
Transliteration
Tabsiratan wathikralikulli AAabdin muneeb
Sahih International
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah ].
Malay
(Kami adakan semuanya itu) untuk menjadi perhatian dan peringatan, (yang menunjukkan jalan kebenaran), kepada tiap-tiap seorang hamba Allah yang mahu kembali kepadaNya (dengan taat dan berbakti).
{ ونزلنا من السماء ماءً مباركا } كثير البركة { فأنبتنا به جنات } بساتين { وحب } الزرع { الحصيد } المحصود .
Transliteration
Wanazzalna mina assama-imaan mubarakan faanbatna bihi jannatinwahabba alhaseed
Sahih International
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest
Malay
Dan juga Kami telah menurunkan dari langit air (hujan) yang banyak faedahnya, lalu Kami tumbuhkan dengan air itu pokok-pokok tanaman (buah-buahan) dan biji-bijian yang dituai;
{ والنخل باسقات } طوالا حال مقدرة { لها طلع نضيد } متراكب بعضه فوق بعض .
Transliteration
Wannakhla basiqatinlaha talAAun nadeed
Sahih International
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -
Malay
Serta pohon-pohon kurma yang tinggi menjulang, yang mengeluarkan mayang, berlapis-lapis, lagi lebat putiknya;
{ رزقا للعباد } مفعول له { وأحيينا به بلدة ميتا } يستوي فيه المذكر والمؤنث { كذلك } أي مثل هذا الإحياء { الخروج } من القبور فكيف تنكرونه والاستفهام للتقرير والمعنى أنهم نظروا وعلموا ما ذكر .
Transliteration
Rizqan lilAAibadi waahyaynabihi baldatan maytan kathalika alkhurooj
Sahih International
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection.
Malay
(Semuanya itu) sebagai rezeki bagi hamba-hamba Kami. Dan lagi Kami telah hidupkan dengan air itu bumi yang mati; demikianlah pula keadaan keluarnya (orang-orang yang mati dari kubur setelah dibangkitkan hidup semula).
{ كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح } تأنيث الفعل بمعنى قوم { وأصحاب الرس } هي بئر كانوا مقيمين عليها بمواشيهم يعبدون الأصنام ونبيهم: قيل حنظلة بن صفوان وقيل غيره { وثمود } قوم صالح .
Transliteration
Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinwaas-habu arrassi wathamood
Sahih International
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud
Malay
Sebelum mereka (yang menentang Nabi Muhammad) itu - kaum Nabi Nuh, dan "Ashaabur-Rassi" serta Thamud (kaum Nabi Soleh), telah juga mendustakan Rasul masing-masing,
{ وعاد } قوم هود { وفرعون وإخوان لوط } .
Transliteration
WaAAadun wafirAAawnu wa-ikhwanuloot
Sahih International
And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
Malay
Dan juga Aad (kaum Nabi Hud), dan Firaun, serta kaum Nabi Lut,
{ وأصحاب الأيكة } الغيضة قوم شعيب { وقوم تُبَّع } هو ملك كان باليمن أسلم ودعا قومه إلى الإسلام فكذبوه { كل } من المذكورين { كذب الرسل } كقريش { فحق وعيد } وجب نزول العذاب على الجميع فلا يضيق صدرك من كفر قريش بك .
Transliteration
Waas-habu al-aykati waqawmutubbaAAin kullun kaththaba arrusula fahaqqawaAAeed
Sahih International
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.
Malay
Dan juga penduduk "Aikah", serta kaum " Tubba' "; tiap-tiap satu kaum itu telah mendustakan Rasul-rasul (yang diutus kepadanya), lalu mereka ditimpa azab yang Aku janjikan.
{ أفعيينا بالخلق الأول } أي لم نعي به فلا نعيا بالإعادة { بل هم في لبس } شك { من خلق جديد } وهو البعث .
Transliteration
AfaAAayeena bilkhalqial-awwali bal hum fee labsin min khalqin jadeed
Sahih International
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.
Malay
(Setelah mereka melihat dan memerhatikan makhluk-makhluk yang Kami ciptakan itu) maka adakah Kami telah lemah dengan ciptaan yang pertama itu (sehingga Kami tidak dapat mengadakannya semula? Tidak! Dan merekapun tidak mengingkari kekuasaan Kami). Bahkan mereka berada dalam keadaan keliru dan ragu-ragu tentang ciptaan makhluk-makhluk (hidup semula) dalam bentuk yang baharu.
{ ولقد خلقنا الإنسان ونعلم } حال بتقدير نحن { ما } مصدرية { توسوس } تحدث { به } الباء زائدة أو للتعدية والضمير للإنسان { نفسه ونحن أقرب إليه } بالعلم { من حبل الوريد } الإضافة للبيان والوريدان عرقان بصفحتي العنق .
Transliteration
Walaqad khalaqna al-insanawanaAAlamu ma tuwaswisu bihi nafsuhu wanahnu aqrabuilayhi min habli alwareed
Sahih International
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya, Kami telah mencipta manusia dan Kami sedia mengetahui apa yang dibisikkan oleh hatinya, sedang (pengetahuan) Kami lebih dekat kepadanya daripada urat lehernya,
{ إذ } منصوبة باذكر مقدرا { يتلقى } يأخذ ويثبت { المتلقيان } الملكان الموكلان بالإنسان ما يعمله { عن اليمين وعن الشمال } منه { قعيد } أي قاعدان وهو مبتدأ خبره ما قبله .
Transliteration
Ith yatalaqqa almutalaqqiyaniAAani alyameeni waAAani ashshimali qaAAeed
Sahih International
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.
Malay
Semasa dua malaikat (yang mengawal dan menjaganya) menerima dan menulis segala perkataan dan perbuatannya; yang satu duduk di sebelah kanannya, dan yang satu lagi di sebelah kirinya.
{ ما يلفظ من قول إلا لديه رقيب } حافظ { عتيد } حاضر وكل منهما بمعنى المثنى .
Transliteration
Ma yalfithu min qawlinilla ladayhi raqeebun AAateed
Sahih International
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].
Malay
Tidak ada sebarang perkataan yang dilafazkannya (atau perbuatan yang dilakukannya) melainkan ada di sisinya malaikat pengawas yang sentiasa sedia (menerima dan menulisnya).
{ وجاءت سكرة الموت } غمرته وشدته { بالحق } من أمر الآخرة حتى المنكر لها عيانا وهو نفس الشدة { ذلك } أي الموت { ما كنت منه تحيد } تهرب وتفزع .
Transliteration
Wajaat sakratu almawti bilhaqqithalika ma kunta minhu taheed
Sahih International
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.
Malay
Dan (apabila sampai ajal seseorang) datanglah "Sakaratulmuat" membawa kebenaran (yang telah dijanjikan, serta dikatakan kepada yang mengingkarinya sebelum itu): "Inilah perkara yang engkau selalu mengelak diri daripadanya!"
{ ونفخ في الصور } للبعث { ذلك } أي يوم النفخ { يوم الوعيد } للكفار بالعذاب .
Transliteration
Wanufikha fee assoori thalikayawmu alwaAAeed
Sahih International
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.
Malay
Dan lagi (apabila sampai saat yang ditentukan) ditiuplah sangkakala (untuk menghidupkan semula makhluk-makhluk yang telah mati); saat itu ialah hari berlakunya amaran yang telah diberikan.
{ وجاءت } فيه { كل نفس } إلى المحشر { معها سائق } ملك يسوقها إليه { وشهيد } يشهد عليها بعملها وهو الأيدي والأرجل وغيرها ويقال للكافر .
Transliteration
Wajaat kullu nafsin maAAaha sa-iqunwashaheed
Sahih International
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.
Malay
Dan (setelah itu) datanglah tiap-tiap orang (ke Padang Mahsyar), disertai (dua malaikat: yang satu menjadi) pembawa, dan (yang satu lagi menjadi) saksi;
{ لقد كنت } في الدنيا { في غفلة من هذا } النازل بك اليوم { فكشفنا عنك غطاءك } أزلنا غفلتك بما تشاهده اليوم { فبصرُك اليوم حديد } حاد تدرك به ما أنكرته في الدنيا .
Transliteration
Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hathafakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasarukaalyawma hadeed
Sahih International
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."
Malay
(Serta dikatakan kepadanya): "Demi sesungguhnya! Engkau di dunia dahulu berada dalam keadaan lalai tentang (perkara hari) ini, maka kami hapuskan kelalaian yang menyelubungimu itu, lalu pandanganmu pada hari ini menjadi tajam (dapat menyaksikan dengan jelasnya perkara-perkara hari akhirat)".
{ وقال قرينه } الملك الموكل به { هذا ما } أي الذي { لديَّ عتيد } حاضر فيقال لمالك .
Transliteration
Waqala qareenuhu hatha maladayya AAateed
Sahih International
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."
Malay
Dan berkatalah malaikat yang sentiasa ada bersama-samanya: "Inilah (Kitab catitan iman dan amal) orang yang terletak dalam jagaanku, siap sedia (untuk dibicarakan)".
{ ألقيا في جهنم } أي: ألق ألق أو ألقين وبه قرأ الحسن فأبدلت النون ألفا { كلَّ كفار عنيد } معاند للحق .
Transliteration
Alqiya fee jahannama kulla kaffarinAAaneed
Sahih International
[ Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,
Malay
(Setelah tiap-tiap orang dibicarakan, Allah berfirman kepada kedua malaikat yang menjadi pembawa dan saksi itu): "Humbankanlah oleh kamu berdua, ke dalam neraka Jahannam tiap-tiap orang yang tetap degil dalam kekufurannya; -
{ منَّاع للخير } كالزكاة { معتد } ظالم { مريب } شاك في دينه .
Transliteration
MannaAAin lilkhayri muAAtadin mureeb
Sahih International
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,
Malay
"Yang sering menghalangi jenis kebajikan, yang melanggar hukum ugama, lagi yang meragukan kebenaran,
{ الذي جعل مع الله إلها آخر } مبتدأ ضُمن معنى الشرط خبره { فألقياه في العذاب الشديد } تفسيره مثل ما تقدم .
Transliteration
Allathee jaAAala maAAa Allahiilahan akhara faalqiyahu fee alAAathabiashshadeed
Sahih International
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."
Malay
"Yang menyembah benda yang lain bersama-sama Allah; maka humbankanlah oleh kamu berdua akan dia ke dalam azab seksa yang seberat-beratnya".
{ قال قرينه } الشيطان { ربنا ما أطغيته } أضللته { ولكن كان في ضلال بعيد } فدعوته فاستجاب لي، وقال هو أطغاني بدعائه له .
Transliteration
Qala qareenuhu rabbana maatghaytuhu walakin kana fee dalalinbaAAeed
Sahih International
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."
Malay
(Semasa ia dihumbankan ke dalam neraka Jahannam, ia mendakwa bahawa Syaitanlah yang menjadikan dia sesat; pada saat itu) Syaitan yang sentiasa menyertainya (di dunia dahulu) berkata: "Wahai Tuhan kami, aku tidak menyesatkannya tetapi sememangnya dia sendiri berada di dalam kesesatan yang jauh terpesong".
{ قال } تعالى { لا تختصموا لديَّ } أي ما ينفع الخصام هنا { وقد قدمت إليكم } في الدنيا { بالوعيد } بالعذاب في الآخرة لو لم تؤمنوا ولا بد منه .
Transliteration
Qala la takhtasimooladayya waqad qaddamtu ilaykum bilwaAAeed
Sahih International
[ Allah ] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.
Malay
Allah berfirman: "Janganlah kamu berbalah lagi di hadapanKu, (tidak ada gunanya berbalah pada masa Aku membuat keputusan); padahal (kamu sedia mengetahui bahawa) Aku dahulu telah memberi amaran kepada kamu (akan menyeksa orang-orang yang bersalah).
( ما يبدل ) يغير ( القول لدي ) في ذلك ( وما أنا بظلام للعبيد ) فأعذبهم بغير جرم ، وظلام بمعنى ذي ظلم لقوله "" لا ظلم "" .
Transliteration
Ma yubaddalu alqawlu ladayya wamaana bithallamin lilAAabeed
Sahih International
The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."
Malay
"KeputusanKu itu tidak dapat diubah atau ditukar ganti, dan Aku tidak sekali-kali berlaku zalim kepada hambaKu".
{ يوم } ناصبه ظلام { نقول } بالنون والياء { لجهنم هل امتلأت } استفهام لوعده بمثلها { وتقول } بصورة الاستفهام كالسؤال { هل من مزيد } أي لا أسع غير ما امتلأت به، أي قد امتلأت .
Transliteration
Yawma naqoolu lijahannama hali imtala/tiwataqoolu hal min mazeed
Sahih International
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"
Malay
(Peringatkanlah manusia) akan hari Kami bertanya kepada neraka Jahannam: "Adakah engkau sudah penuh? " Ia menjawab: "Adakah lagi sebarang tambahan?"
{ وأزلفت الجنة } قربت { للمتقين } مكانا { غير بعيد } منهم فيرونها ويقال لهم .
Transliteration
Waozlifati aljannatu lilmuttaqeena ghayrabaAAeed
Sahih International
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,
Malay
Dan (ingatkanlah pula hari) didekatkan Syurga bagi orang-orang yang bertaqwa, di tempat yang tidak jauh (dari mereka).
{ هذا } المرئي { ما توعدون } بالتاء والياء في الدنيا ويبدل من للمتقين قوله { لكل أوَّاب } رجّاع إلى طاعة الله { حفيظ } حافظ لحدوده .
Transliteration
Hatha ma tooAAadoona likulliawwabin hafeeth
Sahih International
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah ] and keeper [of His covenant]
Malay
(Serta dikatakan kepada mereka): "Inilah yang dijanjikan kepada kamu, - kepada tiap-tiap hamba yang sentiasa kembali (kepada Allah dengan mengerjakan ibadat), lagi yang sangat memelihara dengan sebaik-baiknya (segala hukum dan peraturan Allah);
{ من خشي الرحمن بالغيب } خافه ولم يره { وجاء بقلب منيب } مقبل على طاعته، ويقال للمتقين أيضا .
Transliteration
Man khashiya arrahmanabilghaybi wajaa biqalbin muneeb
Sahih International
Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].
Malay
"(Iaitu) orang yang takut (melanggar perintah Allah) Yang Maha Pemurah, semasa tidak dilihat orang dan semasa ia tidak melihat azab Allah, serta ia datang (kepada Allah) dengan hati yang tunduk taat".
{ ادخلوها بسلام } سالمين من كل مخوف أو مع سلام، أي سلموا وادخلوا { ذلك } اليوم الذي حصل فيه الدخول { يومُ الخلود } الدوام في الجنة .
Transliteration
Odkhulooha bisalamin thalikayawmu alkhulood
Sahih International
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."
Malay
(Mereka dipersilakan oleh malaikat dengan berkata): "Masuklah kamu ke dalam Syurga dengan selamat sejahtera; hari ini ialah hari (bermulanya) kehidupan yang kekal".
{ لهم ما يشاءُون فيها ولدينا مزيد } زيادة على ما عملوا وطلبوا .
Transliteration
Lahum ma yashaoona feehawaladayna mazeed
Sahih International
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.
Malay
Mereka beroleh apa yang mereka kehendaki di situ, dan di sisi Kami ada lagi tambahan (limpah kurnia yang tidak terlintas di hati mereka).
{ وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن } أي أهلكنا قبل كفار قريش قرونا كثيرة من الكفار { هم أشد منهم بطشا } قوة { فنقبوا } فتشوا { في البلاد هل من محيص } لهم أو لغيرهم من الموت فلم يجدوا .
Transliteration
Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi halmin mahees
Sahih International
And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?
Malay
Dan berapa banyak kaum-kaum (yang ingkar) yang terdahulu daripada orang-orang musyrik Makkah itu Kami telah binasakan. Kaum-kaum itu lebih kekuatannya (dan kehandalannya) daripada mereka, lalu kaum-kaum itu keluar mencari perlindungan di merata-rata negeri. (Meskipun demikian keadaannya) dapatkah (mereka) menyelamatkan diri?
{ إن في ذلك } المذكور { لذكرى } لعظة { لمن كان له قلب } عقل { أو ألقى السمع } استمع الوعظ { وهو شهيد } حاضر بالقلب .
Transliteration
Inna fee thalika lathikraliman kana lahu qalbun aw alqa assamAAawahuwa shaheed
Sahih International
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].
Malay
Sesungguhnya (keterangan-keterangan dan peristiwa-peristiwa) yang tersebut itu, tidak syak lagi mengandungi pengajaran bagi sesiapa yang mempunyai hati (yang sedar pada masa membacanya), atau yang menggunakan pendengarannya dengan bersungguh-sungguh (kepada pengajaran itu) dengan menumpukan hati dan fikiran kepadanya.
( ولقد خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما في ستة أيام ) أولها الأحد وآخرها الجمعة ( وما مسنا من لغوب ) تعب ، نزل ردا على اليهود في قولهم : إن الله استراح يوم السبت وانتفاء التعب عنه لتنزهه تعالى عن صفات المخلوقين ولعدم المماثلة بينه وبين غيره "" إنما أمره إذا أراد شيئا أن يقول له كن فيكون "" .
Transliteration
Walaqad khalaqna assamawatiwal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittatiayyamin wama massana min lughoob
Sahih International
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.
Malay
Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah menciptakan langit dan bumi serta segala yang ada di antara keduanya dalam enam masa, dan Kami tidak mengalami sebarang susah payah.
{ فاصبر } خطاب للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { على ما يقولون } أي اليهود وغيرهم من التشبيه والتكذيب { وسبح بحمد ربك } صل حامدا { قبل طلوع الشمس } أي صلاة الصبح { وقبل الغروب } أي صلاة الظهر والعصر .
Transliteration
Fasbir AAala mayaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAiashshamsi waqabla alghuroob
Sahih International
So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,
Malay
Oleh itu bersabarlah (wahai Muhammad) akan apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu itu), dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji Tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam.
{ ومن الليل فسبحه } أي صل العشاءين { وأَِدبار السجود } بفتح الهمزة جمع دبر وكسرها مصدر أدبر، أي صل النوافل المسنونة عقب الفرائض وقيل المراد حقيقة التسبيح في هذه الأوقات ملابسا للحمد .
Transliteration
Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbaraassujood
Sahih International
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration.
Malay
Serta bertasbihlah kepadaNya pada malam hari dan sesudah mengerjakan sembahyang.
{ واستمع } يا مخاطب مقولي { يوم يناد المناد } هو إسرافيل { من مكان قريب } من السماء وهو صخرة بيت المقدس أقرب موضع من الأرض إلى السماء يقول: أيتها العظام البالية والأوصال المتقطعة واللحوم المتمزقة والشعور المتفرقة إن الله يأمركن أن تجتمعن لفصل القضاء .
Transliteration
WastamiAA yawma yunadi almunadimin makanin qareeb
Sahih International
And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -
Malay
Dan dengarlah (apa yang diterangkan kepadamu sekarang ini mengenai hari kiamat), hari (malaikat yang menjadi) penyeru, menyeru (makhluk-makhluk yang telah mati) dari tempat yang dekat yang dapat didengar oleh semuanya),
{ يوم } بدل من يوم قبله { يسمعون } أي الخلق كلهم { الصيحة بالحق } بالبعث وهي النفخة الثانية من إسرافيل ويحتمل أن تكون قبل ندائه وبعده { ذلك } أي يوم النداء والسماع { يوم الخروج } من القبور وناصب يوم ينادي مقدرا، أي يعلمون عاقبة تكذيبهم .
Transliteration
Yawma yasmaAAoona assayhatabilhaqqi thalika yawmu alkhurooj
Sahih International
The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].
Malay
Iaitu hari mereka mendengar pekikan seruan yang menyatakan perkara yang benar; hari seruan itu ialah hari masing-masing keluar dari kubur.
{ إنا نحن نحيي ونميت وإلينا المصير } .
Transliteration
Inna nahnu nuhyeewanumeetu wa-ilayna almaseer
Sahih International
Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination
Malay
Sesungguhnya Kami menghidupkan dan mematikan, dan kepada Kamilah sahaja tempat kembali (sekalian makhluk).
{ يوم } بدل من يوم قبله وما بينهما اعتراض { تشقق } بتخفيف الشين وتشديدها بإدغام التاء الثانية في الأصل فيها { الأرض عنهم سراعا } جمع سريع حال من مقدر، أي فيخرجون مسرعين { ذلك حشر علينا يسير } فيه فصل بين الموصوف والصفة بمتعلقها للاختصاص وهو لا يضر وذلك إشارة إلى معنى الحشر المخبر به عنه، وهو الإحياء بعد الفناء والجمع للعرض والحساب .
Transliteration
Yawma tashaqqaqu al-ardu AAanhum siraAAanthalika hashrun AAalayna yaseer
Sahih International
On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.
Malay
Pada hari bumi terbelah-belah untuk mereka segera keluar (daripadanya). Perbuatan (menghidupkan dan) menghimpunkan mereka di Padang Mahsyar itu, mudah bagi Kami melaksanakannya.
{ نحن أعلم بما يقولون } أي كفار قريش { وما أنت عليهم بجبار } تجبرهم على الإيمان وهذا قبل الأمر بالجهاد { فذكِّر بالقرآن من يخاف وعيد } وهم المؤمنون .
Transliteration
Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloonawama anta AAalayhim bijabbarin fathakkir bilqur-animan yakhafu waAAeed
Sahih International
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.
Malay
Kami lebih mengetahui apa yang mereka katakan (dari berbagai tuduhan terhadapmu wahai Muhammad), dan engkau bukanlah seorang yang berkuasa memaksa mereka (supaya masing-masing beriman). Oleh itu, berilah peringatan dengan Al-Quran ini kepada orang yang takutkan janji azabKu.

50. Qaf Introduction
Name
The Surah derives its name from the initial letter Qaf, thereby implying that it is the Surah which opens with the alphabetic letter Qaf.
Period of Revelation
There is no authentic tradition to show as to when exactly this Surah was sent down. A study of the subject matter, however, reveals that its period of revelation is the second stage of the Holy Prophet’s life at Makkah, which lasted from the third year of the Prophethood till the fifth year.
We have given the characteristics of this period in the Introduction to the Sarah Al-An’am. In view of those characteristics it can be said that this Surah might have been sent down in about the 5th year, when the antagonism of the disbelievers had become quite intense but had not yet assumed tyrannical proportions.
Theme and Topics
Authentic traditions show that the Holy Prophet used to recite this Surah generally in the Prayer on the Eid days. A woman named Umm Hisham bin Harithah, who was a neighbor of the Holy Prophet, says that she was able to commit Surah Qaf to memory only because she often heard it from the Holy Prophet in the Friday sermons.
According to some other traditions he often recited it in the Fajr Prayer. This makes it abundantly clear that this was an important Surah in the sight of the Holy Prophet. That is why he made sure that its contents reached as many people as possible over and over again.
This reason for this importance can be easily understood by a careful study of the Surah. The theme of the entire Surah is the Hereafter. When the Holy Prophet started preaching his message in Makkah what surprised the people most was the news that people would be resurrected after death, and they would have to render an account of their deeds.
They said that that was impossible; human mind could not believe that that would happen. After all, how could it be possible that when the body had disintegrated into dust the scattered particles would be reassembled after hundreds of thousands of years to make up the same body once again and raised up as a living body, Allah in response sent down this discourse.
In it, on the one hand, arguments have been given for the possibility and occurrence of the Hereafter in a brief way, in short sentences, and, on the other, the people have been warned, as if to say: “Whether you express wonder and surprise, or you regard it as something remote from reason, or deny it altogether, in any case it cannot change the truth. The absolute, un-alterable truth is that Allah knows the whereabouts of each and every particle of your body that has scattered away in the earth, and knows where and in what state it is.
Allah’s one signal is enough to make all the scattered particles gather together again and to make you rise up once again as you had been made in the first instance. Likewise, your this idea that you have been created and left free to yourselves in the world and that you have not been made answerable to anyone, is no more than a misunderstanding.
The fact is that not only is Allah Himself directly aware of each act and word of yours, even of the ideas that pass in your mind, but His angels also are attached to each one of you, who are preserving the record of whatever you do and utter. When the time comes, you will come out of your graves at one call just as young shoots of vegetable sprout up from the earth on the first shower of the rain. Then this heedlessness which obstructs your vision will be removed and you will see with your own eyes all that you are denying today.
At that time you will realize that you had not been created to be irresponsible in this world but accountable to all your deeds the meeting out of the rewards and punishments, the Hell and Heaven, which you regard as impossible and imaginary things, will at that time become visible realities for you in consequence of your enmity and opposition to the Truth you will be cast into the same Hell which you regard as remote from reason today and the ones who fear the Merciful God and return to the path of righteousness, will be admitted to the same Paradise at whose mention you now express wonder and surprise.
